Resumerize Privacy Policy

Resumerize ("Resumerize", "we", "us", or "our") provides resume enhancement and job application assistance through the Resumerize web application and Resumerize Job Assistant browser extension.

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use Resumerize and how that information is used.

1. Information We Process

Depending on the features you use, Resumerize may process the following information:

• Account information such as your name, email address, user identifier, and account role.
• Candidate profile information that you choose to provide.
• Resume information, including resume content and resume records that you choose to store or use through Resumerize.
• Job application information, including job title, company, application status, job information, application dates, and related information that you choose to manage through Resumerize.
• Interview and offer-letter information that you choose to store or manage through the service.
• Information from a job page when you invoke the Resumerize Job Assistant on a supported job website. This may include information necessary to identify and support the job application.
• Location or address information when you choose to provide such information as part of your candidate profile or application information.

2. How We Use Information

We use information processed through Resumerize for purposes including:

• Providing and maintaining Resumerize services.
• Authenticating users and maintaining authenticated sessions.
• Managing candidate profiles and resumes.
• Supporting job application activities.
• Storing and displaying application, interview, and offer-letter information requested by the user.
• Providing job-page assistance through the Resumerize browser extension.
• Providing requested resume and application related functionality.

3. Browser Extension Permissions

The Resumerize Job Assistant browser extension requests browser permissions that are required for its functionality.

These may include access to the active tab, downloads, local extension storage, scripting, tabs, the side panel, and scheduled extension tasks.

The extension also requests access to supported job websites so that it can provide job-page assistance when the user invokes the extension.

4. Local Storage

The browser extension uses Chrome local storage for information required to operate the extension, including authentication session information, user context, application information, resume information, and other extension data.

Information stored locally by the extension can be removed when the user signs out, removes the extension, or otherwise deletes the applicable stored information.

5. Service Providers

Resumerize uses third-party infrastructure and services necessary to provide its functionality.

Resumerize uses Supabase for authentication, database services, and related application infrastructure.

Resumerize may use OpenStreetMap Nominatim for location lookup functionality when a location lookup is requested by the application.

Information sent to these services is used only as necessary to provide the requested Resumerize functionality.

6. Data Sharing

Resumerize does not sell user information.

We do not transfer user information to third parties for purposes unrelated to the operation of Resumerize.

Information may be processed by service providers that support authentication, storage, database functionality, hosting, or other services required to operate Resumerize.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through Resumerize.

However, no internet-based service or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Information may be retained for as long as necessary to provide the requested Resumerize services, maintain user accounts, and fulfill legitimate operational requirements.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated information by contacting Resumerize.

9. Children's Privacy

Resumerize is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
